James trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance gaining a First Class Honours degree. Upon graduating he toured the UK and Europe with EDge, the postgraduate company of London Contemporary Dance School. James performed repertoire from renowned choreographers including Trisha Brown and Yael Flexer and a new work by Ben Wright. James’ credits include Royal Opera House, the Royal Albert Hall for BBC Proms and new creations for Hack Ballet, IJAD Dance Company, Summit Dance Theatre, Slot Machine Theatre and Eldarin Yeong Studio. James joined the Cohan Collective in 2016 and has recently been in rehearsal for Cohan’s new work ‘Communion’. James is also Artistic Co-Director of Traceworks Dance, performances to date include a collaborative work ‘Jazz Scene’ and ‘Hydromania’ with Avanti Display for the Royal Greenwich Tall Ships Festival.
