Alice Laidler

Dancer

Alice trained at Central School of Ballet where she graduated with a First Class BA Honours Degree in 2013.Whilst touring with Ballet Central, she performed the role of Cinderella in Christopher Gable’s ‘Fireside Pas de Deux’ and worked with choreographers such as Darshan Singh Bhuller, Sara Matthews and Stacey Haynes. Upon graduating,Alice joined Phoenix DanceTheatre as their Apprentice Dancer for the 2013/14 season.Whilst touring nationally with the company she performed pieces by SharonWatson and Darshan Singh Bhuller. She also worked with choreographers such as DidyVeldman, Uri Ivgi and Johan Greben. On completing her apprenticeship,Alice graduated with a Distinction in Contemporary Dance and created a role in Beth Cassani’s ‘After The Rain…,’ performed at Riley Theatre, Leeds. In July 2014, Alice performed alongside the Juice Vocal Ensemble in Andrew Mcnicol’s choreography ‘The Girls WhoWishedtoMarryStars…,’atTheQueenElizabethHall,London. Soonafter,shecreated a role in ‘The Soldier’s Tale,’ premiering in autumn 2014 at The Wimbledon International Music Festival, choreography by Kamara Gray. Alice works as a freelance dancer and choreographer who has most recently collaborated with the band‘Sweet Crisis’on their forthcoming single‘MovingTogether.’Spring 2015 also saw her perform and train with the London-based samba company Unika Dance. Currently, Alice is a Principal Dancer with C-12 Dance Theatre and is performing ‘Market Stall’ as part of their 2015 National tour.This Autumn, she will also be performing in their 2015 production of ‘Shhh…’
